Recently, IOTA Silicones launched IOTA-2307, a single-terminated trimethoxysilane-terminated silicone oil, providing a new option for inorganic powder surface treatment. In everyday applications such as lightweighting of new energy vehicles, photovoltaic module encapsulation, and heat dissipation in consumer electronics, the compatibility of inorganic powders like silica, titanium dioxide, and iron oxide with silicone resins and silicone rubber directly affects sealing, thermal conductivity, and mechanical properties. Some traditional treatment agents are prone to silicone oil release and precipitation, leading to interfacial instability. IOTA-2307, through a single-terminated trimethoxysilane bond to the inorganic powder and an inert group at the other end, prevents silicone oil from releasing or precipitating, improving the dispersion and long-term stability of fillers in sealants and rubber products. IOTA Silicones states that this product has a uniform composition, is cyclic-free, and can be used at room temperature with tin-based catalysts. It is currently available in molecular weight specifications of 1000, 3000, and 5000.
