Application in ceramic products


Ceramics have the characteristics of high compressive strength, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and good insulation. The disadvantage is that they are brittle and require high-temperature firing. Researchers add an appropriate amount of nano-SiO2 to ceramic products, which greatly reduces the brittleness of ceramic products, increases their toughness several times or even dozens of times, significantly improves the smoothness, and enables ceramics to be fired at lower temperatures. In addition, the application effect of nano-SiO2 in ceramic products such as ceramic filters and corundum balls is also relatively significant.
