During the Rain Water season, ancient architecture is vulnerable to rainwater erosion due to aging. To preserve these precious cultural heritage sites, researchers have developed a nanocoating technology based on silicone resin. The coating is colorless, transparent, UV-resistant, and has excellent hydrophobic properties, capable of penetrating into the materials of ancient buildings to form a dense protective layer that effectively blocks rainwater infiltration. At the same time, the coating's breathability ensures that the ancient architecture can "breathe," avoiding internal moisture issues caused by encapsulation. The application of this technology provides new ideas and methods for the protection and restoration of ancient architecture.
