Since 2023, the organosilicon industry has experienced a downturn. Several expansion projects within the industry have been successively completed, with over 1 million tons of new organosilicon monomer capacity added in two years. However, domestic downstream demand from the real estate sector weakened, and overseas consumption declined, resulting in poor demand for organosilicon and a decline in exports. The industry entered a phase of excess supply, challenging the profitability of enterprises. Yet, from the second half of 2024 onwards, with improvements in the global economic environment and rapid emerging demand in fields such as photovoltaics and renewable energy, the organosilicon industry witnessed a turnaround. By early 2025, organosilicon market prices experienced an upswing, marking the industry's entry into a new growth cycle.
