In March 2025, Xinjiang witnessed a significant milestone in the organic silicon industry with the official launch of a 1.6 million tonne annual organic silicon monomer project by Qiya Xinjiang Group. Utilizing the most advanced production technologies from home and abroad, the project aims to establish the world's largest and most integrated organic silicon monomer project. Leveraging abundant resources such as coal, electricity, and quartz ore, the project will form a full-chain integrated development model from coal to electricity, silicon, methanol, and organic silicon. In the future, this project will not only meet domestic and international demands for organic silicon materials but also drive the research and production of high-end products like polysilazanes and silicone resins.
