Supply-Side Reduction Raises Organic Silicon Market Prices

Recently, domestic organic silicon monomer plant loads have continued to decline, with nearly 300,000 tonnes of monomer capacity undergoing maintenance shutdowns. Although some delayed startups are expected to resume, with an additional 200,000 tonnes of monomer capacity soon to be shutdown, market supply has further tightened. As a result, the market is expecting another price increase. It is anticipated that subsequent organic silicon product prices will rise by 300-500 USD/tonne, posing cost pressures and market opportunities for downstream products such as silicone oils and silicone rubbers.
