Geely and Great Wall Motors use fluorosilicone rubber (FVMQ) seals in next-gen hybrid engines, slashing weight by 15kg. The material retains elasticity from -50°C to 200°C, resists engine oil corrosion 5x better than standard rubber, and solves thermal expansion sealing issues in aluminum engine blocks. Combined with silicone oil lubricants, friction loss drops 18%. With China VI emission standards, domestic demand for high-performance silicone rubber will exceed 120,000 tons by 2024 (+25% YoY).
