The low-convex surface of the nano coating can absorb the surrounding gas molecules to form a stable thin film air cushion, which avoids direct contact between the metal materials of the PCB surface and the component pins and water molecules. An extremely fine mesh film layer is formed on the PCB surface, which effectively reduces the surface energy of the circuit board and electronic components, so that the contact angle of water droplets deposited on the PCB surface tends to the maximum value, and the PCB surface presents a strong super-hydrophobic property.


Since the pore size of the nano coating film surface is much smaller than that of water molecules, it cannot penetrate naturally, thus forming a waterproof effect similar to the lotus leaf holding water droplets, which is commonly known as the super-hydrophobic lotus leaf effect.
