IOTA Silicone Resins: Enabling Green Coatings

Hits: 366 img

As of July 16, 2026, driven by the deepening of the national "Dual Carbon" strategy and increasingly stringent environmental regulations, the coatings industry is rapidly shifting toward low-VOC, high-performance solutions. Against this backdrop, Anhui Iota Silicone Oil Co., Ltd. has launched the IOTA 63074 silicone resin intermediate, offering a novel solution for applications such as coil coatings, home appliance finishes, and cookware bakeware.

Unlike traditional flake resins—which require solvent dissolution, involve cumbersome handling, and result in high VOC emissions—IOTA 63074 is a solvent-free liquid silicone resin. With 100% solids content and low viscosity, it can participate directly in chemical reactions. Its methoxy functional groups enable chemical bonding with organic resins such as polyesters and epoxies, significantly enhancing coating weatherability and heat resistance while facilitating eco-friendly, low-VOC formulations. The product excels in diverse scenarios, from maintaining the gloss and color of building exteriors exposed to intense summer sun to providing durable protection for cookware subjected to high-temperature baking. Increasingly, home appliance manufacturers and industrial maintenance firms are transitioning from traditional solvent-based coatings to silicone-modified systems—using IOTA 63074 to achieve greater coating durability and greener production processes.
