As the Ghost Festival approaches, many regions are advocating for civilized and safe memorial practices. Moving away from the traditional burning of paper money and the use of open-flame candles, an increasing number of families are adopting LED memorial lights, waterproof outdoor string lights, and electronic aroma diffusers; these alternatives preserve the ritualistic sense of remembrance while mitigating fire hazards in residential corridors and cemeteries. IOTA silicone materials play a pivotal role in this shift: thermally conductive potting compounds ensure stable heat dissipation for LED drivers; silicone seals and waterproof coatings prevent short circuits in humid outdoor environments; and food-grade silicone components in aroma diffusers offer superior heat resistance and are odor-free. Unlike traditional paraffin candles—which are prone to tipping over and pose significant fire risks—silicone-encapsulated electronic lights offer features such as eight-hour timers and soft, low-temperature illumination. One lighting manufacturer reported that, after adopting IOTA silicone solutions, its products achieved UL94 V-0 flame-retardant certification, and orders surged by 35% ahead of the Ghost Festival. From residential complexes to cemeteries, safe and eco-friendly "silicone-based" memorial practices are becoming a practical reality.
