③Nano antibacterial coatings


Currently, the most mature nano antibacterial coatings are mainly nano TiO2 coatings. The antibacterial mechanism is to use the highly reactive active oxygen and free radicals produced by the photocatalytic oxidation characteristics of nano TiO2 to kill or inhibit the growth of microorganisms, thereby achieving the antibacterial effect. Xu Ruifen et al. dispersed the surface-treated nano TiO2 into benzene-acrylic emulsion to prepare antibacterial coatings and tested the antibacterial effect. The results showed that the antibacterial coatings had a killing rate of more than 99% against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, etc., and had a strong bactericidal effect and a lasting antibacterial effect.
