Product Overview

IOTA 61036 is a solvent-free silicone resin based on silanol-functionalized siloxane. In transparent PC flame-retardant systems, it effectively enhances the flame-retardant rating and anti-dripping performance while having virtually no impact on the transparency of PC.

Achieves UL94 V-0 rating for transparent PC at 1.6–2.0 mm with PFAS‑FREE flame retardancy.

Applications

1.    For PC flame retardancy, a recommended addition level of 1–4 wt% is suggested. When used together with a sulfonate (RM65 or KSS are recommended) or a phosphorus‑silicon flame retardant (e.g., PSI‑910), a UL94 V‑0 rating can be achieved at 1.6–2.0 mm.

2.    It does not affect the light transmittance or haze of transparent PC materials.

3.    IOTA 61036 solvent‑free silicone resin contains no fluorine, phosphorus, bromine, or similar elements.

Note

1. The actual addition level may differ from the recommended dosage depending on the screw configuration, processing temperature, and specific requirements.

2. To use IOTA 61036, mix it with the plastic resin at a certain ratio, then melt-blend to obtain flame-retardant PC resin.

3. For better dispersion of IOTA 61036, it can be compounded with all additives into a high-concentration masterbatch, which can then be used in the molding process.


Packaging and Storage

1. Long-term storage temperature: ≤ 30 °C. After opening, care should be taken to avoid contamination with impurities.

2. Packaging can be customized according to customer requirements.
