Sunny Silicones has unveiled a breakthrough polysilazane (PSZ) coating designed for新能源汽车 batteries, capable of withstanding extreme temperatures from -50°C to 800°C. As battery safety concerns escalate amid rising EV fire incidents, the ultra-thin coating significantly reduces thermal runaway risks while optimizing battery space to extend driving range. Collaborating with leading Chinese automakers, the company has completed rigorous safety tests, with mass production scheduled for 2024. "This innovation addresses both safety and energy density challenges," stated the Technical Director. Industry analysts predict the coating could become a standard feature in next-gen EVs.
