This summer, “sweat-proof, stay-put makeup” is once again dominating beauty social feeds. Unlike traditional film formers that can feel tight or leave a white cast when wet, IOTA’s new silicone dispersion—IOTA 91003 Trimethylsiloxysilicate and Cyclopentasiloxane—offers a balanced evaporation rate and hydrophobic character, creating a breathable silicone resin film on skin and hair that locks in long-lasting shine while withstanding water and rinsing. In real life, a lipstick formulated with it barely transfers onto coffee cups; a hair serum keeps strands light and bouncy even through sauna-like heat or a rainy morning run. Compared with common silicone fluids, its film resists migration, helping makeup and hairstyles stay fresh around the clock. Formulators can simply add 2–10% (color cosmetics) or 0.5–5% (hair care) below 50°C for an easy, silky finish. The product appears colorless to pale yellow, has a viscosity of 300–500 mPa·s, and remains stable when sealed—any trace precipitate can be filtered out and reused. From sunscreens and foundations to leave-in sprays, IOTA silicone is weaving durable, water-resistant films into daily routines, giving consumers a reliable shield against sweat and humidity.
