1 Hardness
Hardness is one of the important indicators of nano ceramic coating. The hardness is best measured by micro hardness, and multiple measurement points should be taken, and the average value is used as the coating hardness value. The refinement of grains makes the hardness of nano ceramic coating significantly greater than that of micro ceramic coating. For example, the micro hardness of conventional WC-12Co coating is 1186 HV0.2, while the micro hardness of nano structure WC-12Co coating is 1584 HV0.2, which is 1.3 times that of conventional coating.
